Earlier this year, I went on a daring caving trip in Bagshawe Cavern with Dan. We explored the New Moon series, taking on the challenging French Connection and then ascending Madame Guillotine to reach the “proper” upper series.
The insitu rigging along the way was not for the faint of heart, but it was certainly memorable. Unfortunately, we had to turn back about a third of the way to Hollywood Bowl due to time, but we still considered it a great day out.
I’m grateful to Dan for his support and companionship throughout the trip, and I can’t wait to explore even more of the cave in the future.
