As lockdown faded, Judith, Ashleigh, Amelia and Karina and me went socially distanced caving into Carlswark cavern with The Caving Crew.
We did the classic tourist trip, with the marked improvement of dropping in the Eyam Dale shaft by ladder.
Then we did: North West Passage -> Dynamite Passage -> Stalactite Passage -> Rift Sumps -> Head first slide into dead squirrel pong passage -> return via Cockle Passage -> North West Passage -> Noughts & Crosses -> Gin Entrance.
In addition, we poked our head into Dynamite series – and got to chamber 2 again.
Ashleigh poked through the puddle and reached chamber 3 through probably the most committing squeeze of Dynamite series but was devastated when we told her we weren’t going to follow and she had to return through the puddle.
Anyway, as they say on tripadvisor “A–, no heater installed as I’d hoped”
Who’d be keen to join a trip soon?
