Wednesday at the church,

“I’ve been doing some research”
Life before lockdown,
You step right up to the wall.
“On belay, climb when ready”
Goes your climbing partner’s call.
Life before lockdown,
The sweat drips off your face.
“Can I, will I, do this?”
“Can I find a clipping place?”
Life before lockdown,
“You smashed it mate! well done.”
You’re just lying there panting,
For some reason you call this fun.
Life during lockdown,
One thing continues to be true,
If you gave the Clan a belay,
The Clan will give you a belay too.
