As the Climbing Clan woke up on the Sunday morning of the last weekend trip they were keen to get outside and make use of the location.
A scramble in Llyn Idwal was selected, bags were packed, faffing was coordinated in earnest – perfectly timed so the first person out of the door experienced not gentle drizzle, but relentless torrential rain. The scramble was off.
Scrambling for a plan B, we unracked our kit and wracked our brains for an alternative option.
Rather than being bored, we headed to the Boardroom in Queensferry, where Jake showed us the warmth, the welcome and the most terrifying walls his homelands had to offer.
When we headed back to Manchester that evening, we were tired… and happy to be dry!
