It’s hard to believe that just 3 months ago, we decided the weather looked so unpleasant, I suggested we spend a day in a Bothy.
Carrying a wood from Glen More, we arrived at the Bothy and piled wood on the fire, creating a haven of warmth from the swirling snowstorm outside.
Things started to get primal. Splitting logs became a key activity. Relay race log sawing. Strategic discussions about how to get this large piece of wood the right shape.
All whilst a steady stream of snowy hikers stumbled through the door and were welcome into the warmth.
Not the most incredible Climbing Clan mountaineering day, but still an incredible Climbing Clan day given the weather.
