Throwback to the windiest, blowiest, airiest Climbing Clan of 2021 so far.
The Climbing Clan has resumed climbing, but to reduce the impact on one crag, reduce travel and reduce covid risks, we travel to crags near us to climb in groups of 6 or fewer.
This particular evening I was at Castle Naze, reintroducing Jurga to climbing in the UK and outside, reintroducing Sarah to climbing after 8 years and reintroducing Katie to the outside world!
It was windy. So windy. But despite that, Half – the absolute legend – and me, managed to get some top ropes set up, and we got some climbs in. Top ropes provided the unusual benefit of noone having to sit in the windiest location, and no one being blown up the crag!
