Wilderness Gully East was In Condition. Or not in condition. Depending on what you think is the right conditions.
Last autumn Sam and I made an attempt of it, for her first ever above ground scramble.
We pitched some of the lower sections with me telling Sam “stick to the water and slime line” and her following my advice to the letter.
Higher up, we unroped and sent the rest of it, with her valiantly throwing herself into the juicey slippery goo on multiple occasions til I suggested that, maybe, the algae free rock might be better.
“It was good” she said. Is that a recommendation? Is it in condition?
Maybe you should do it and decide…
