There’s a mystery crag near where I live. I have seen it for years.
Last year I wandered up there to see what it was like. It looked alright. The guide described it as the “worst in the world” but it wasn’t what I saw..
I went back recently with a belay stake and abseiled down to have a look. There was clear signs of it being climbed.
I asked my sources and found it’d been climbed and cleaned during lockdown.
So now I’m keen to have a go at it. What grades? How chossy? How fun? We shall see.
