When I was staying in the Briancon are, my weeks would usually look like this:
Work mon-fri, 9-5.
Hear about my friends adventures on the evenings. Politely decline their invitation to skip work to come out with them the following day.
Then at the weekend, a new set of friends would arrive and they’d start the week running the sunshine run on the Durance on Sunday.
This specific trip was a fun run with the north-eastern-extremely-sensible-crew (lead by Angus). I was particularly pleased by a battle roll in a g3 Durance gorge exit rapid.
As we ran from the bottom of the Durance gorge to Embrun, at about 33km, this was probably one my my longest paddling days so far
