A wonderful winter walk with Geoff and Islay

Throwback to a wonderful winter walk with Geoff and his dog Islay just before Geoff did something INCREDIBLE after months of planning! ˜®

A few years ago, a stranger called Jamie messaged Geoff on twitter asking for advice about outdoor gear. Geoff being Geoff, suggested, “why don’t we do a wild camp together, and I can share some thoughts with you?” ‘›º

The camping trip came and went well, and time past whilst Geoff watched as Jamie’s health got worse until he was on dialysis. ˜“

One day, Geoff wondered if there was anything he could do to help one of our #OutdoorsFamily. ‘›° He got to work… Months later, after days of blood, tears and anxiety…• Geoff is back from hospital and Jamie is off dialysis! ”

Geoff gave Jamie one of his kidneys. ’œ

I feel so lucky to know Geoff (and his incredibly supportive wife Chrissie and dogs Islay and Pebbles).˜ As our #outdoorsfamily friend James rightly says “he’s still a twonk” ˜‰ and if a twonk like Geoff can do this, you might be surprised what you can do. ˜Š — Photos of Islay @geoffcrowther1 [twitter] on Lantern Pike and shoulders of moor near Little Hayfield
