Bagshawe’s back! Alright!
My first ever ‘adventure’ caving trip was for my nineth birthday when the Custodian of Bagshawe Cavern Peter Revell took me and some of my school friends down to the Bagshawe streamway.
Almost 20 years later, I lead a Caving Crew trip back to the very same cave – with Ash and Maria, like me all those years ago – in the cave for the first time.
This time though, we didn’t get as far as 9yro me. After a thorough explore of the upper series, we discovered the main series was significantly flooded and after a brief chat with Alex decided not to push it.
Despite not doing the trip we expected, it was a definite adventure with smiles and laughter all round.
So in 2020, the Caving Crew will be headed back to give it another go. Come join us? (Link in bio)
