Helen and I both learnt to kayak around the same time. We did the lower Treweryn as our first whitewater river on the same day and swam almost as much.
We paddled together and improved together until Helen had to fly back to Taiwan to work.
A few years later she returned to Manchester, and we managed to do one pool session with Euxton Canoe club before Coronavirus.
Since Covid started unlocking, we went to a Euxton Canoe Club outdoor session to remember how it all worked and borrow their wonderful equipment.
