Went sea kayaking for the very first time

Went Sea Kayaking for the very first time a few weeks ago, thanks to my paddling pal Jim Krawiecki / Jimski

Fun to paddle from South Landing to Flamborough head today and get a sense about what big pointy plastic boats can do!

My background is paddling nimble, lightweight whitewater craft, so when my friend Jim (who started sea kayaking before the millennium) offered to take me, I leapt at the opportunity.

Things I learnt about sea kayaking as a newbie
‘œ… The boats are not that tippy
˜ The boats do not like turning. Learn to turn your head instead
’ª You better paddle with efficient technique ˜…
” Wind and current and tide are all a bit of a pain
· What kills me is stamina, but there’s only one way to build it…
‘˜º Seems fun! I can see why people enjoy it!
